About GESS

The Ghana Economics Students’ Summit (GESS) is an annual forum focused on economics students across Ghana’s tertiary institutions.

Every year, we bring together students from Universities in Ghana who are pursuing economics and related degree at the Bachelors, Master and PhD level. as well as notable speakers to share insights and perspectives on how to shape Ghana’s development agenda.

The summit’s focus extends far beyond the study of economics to include the more general areas of the social sciences, such as international relations, development, politics, growth, poverty, diversity and inclusion etc.

The GESS is an initiative of the Ghana Economic Society.
